You must have a licence before you can do any residential building work in NSW, that is valued at more than $5000 in labour and materials (incl GST).
You must complete at least one of the following building and construction qualifications:
-CPC30320 (current) Certificate III in Concreting, or
-CPC30318/ CPC30313/ CPC30311/ CPC30308/ BCG30303 Certificate III in Concreting, or
-CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry (current), or
-CPC31511/ CP031508 Certificate III in Formwork/Falsework
QLD
Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is the regulator and issuing body for building trade licences in QLD. You must have a licence before you do any residential building and construction work in QLD that is valued at more than $33000 (incl GST) in labour and materials.
Any one of the following—
(a) successful completion of the course Certificate III in Concreting CPC30320;
(b) successful completion of a course the commission considers is at least equivalent to a course mentioned in paragraph (a);
(c) a recognition certificate as a qualified concrete worker;
(d) a qualification or statement of attainment of required competency for the class of licence.
VIC
Victorian Building Authority (VBA) is the regulator and issuing body for building trade licences in VIC. You must have a licence before you do any residential building and construction work in VIC that is valued at more than $5000 (incl GST) in labour and materials.
General Concrete licence in VIC named Domestic Builder (limited to footings and slab work)
You must complete the following building and construction qualifications:
-Certificate III in Concreting (CPC30313 or CPC30318)
-Arrange building applications and approvals (CPCCBC4026A or CPCCBC4026)(a unit in Certificate IV in Building and Construction)
